Gold Coast Guides

Surfers Paradise is amongst Australia's most unique and exciting city centres. Art and fashion houses line the streets while restaurants, bars and nightclubs fill the neighbourhood with excitement. Surfers Paradise has a fantastic retail precinct with shops open until 9.00pm every night and hundreds of boutique and designer stores to choose from. With the beach just a short walk away, Surfers Paradise has got it all. Our tip - go for a walk on the beach at sunrise, few views can compare to the sun rising over the Pacific Ocean.

Broadbeach is the place to be seen. With its award winning restaurants, bars, cafes, shops and boutiques, and beachside accommodation, Broadbeach is regarded as the cosmopolitan hub of the Gold Coast. Featuring many of the regions's best dining establishments; it has become one of the coast's premier eating precincts. Home to one of Queensland's largest shopping centres, Pacific Fair, it has storeys of fashion, giftware and lifestyle stores, together with major department stores. Broadbeach is also the centre for entertainment, music festivals, Christmas and New Year activities and quaint evening markets. Our tip - Pratten Park is a great place for a barbeque, riding a bike or taking a leisurely stroll along the boardwalk tracks and lookouts.

Main Beach is located just north of Surfers Paradise. On a beatiful stretch of sand, the beach offers a luxury holiday. Indulge in 5 star accommodation, visit a stylish cafe, relax over a drink or two in various bars and shop at designer boutiques. Our tip - take in the views of the surrounding marina while you dine alfresco on the waterfront at the Marina Mirage.

Mermaid Beach to Coolangatta is at the southern stretch of the Gold Coast. With picturesque beaches and a laid-back vibe the area is perfect for a family holiday. Take a leisurely walk along the beachfront promenade and marvel at the golden sands, rocky headlands, grassy foreshore and tumbling waves. Our tip - walk along Hedges Avenue, Mermaid Beach, for a close-up view of the coast's prestigious real estate and famous 'millionaires row' of beachfront homes.

Gold Coast Hinterland has lush rolling hills and World Heritage-listed rainforest and bushland. You can explore national parks, reserves, vineyards, famrland and tropical plantations. Our tip - don't miss the grotto in Springbook National Park, home to thousands of glow worms that light up the cave's ceiling like stars in the night sky.
